Carole Novak Harrod is a seasoned trial attorney who has represented plaintiffs and defendants in nearly 100 jury trials across Texas. Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 2009, she is also a Life Member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum®️ and has been recognized for securing a Top 50 Texas trucking accident verdict and a Top 100 U.S. wrongful death verdict.
A past president of the Corpus Christi chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, Carole is a strong advocate for her clients’ right to have disputes decided by a jury. She also understands that a well-negotiated settlement can often provide the best path forward. Her perspective is informed by decades of mediation experience: she first became a trained mediator in 1993, before attending law school, and completed additional mediation training in 2021.
A lifelong resident of South and Central Texas, Carole was raised in Pleasanton and earned a journalism degree from The University of Texas at Austin. She worked as a television journalist before deciding to pursue a legal career, inspired in part by her coverage of several major trials.
At the University of Houston Law Center, Carole graduated cum laude in the top 10% of her class. She was a member of the University of Houston Law Review and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. She began her legal career in personal injury litigation, representing both individuals and businesses.
Throughout her career, Carole has remained committed to providing attentive, individualized counsel. She takes pride in helping individuals and companies navigate the legal system with clarity and confidence during what can be a stressful and overwhelming time.
Outside the courtroom, Carole enjoys spending time with Marc, her husband of more than 30 years, and their two adult daughters, Abby and Emma.
