Details of the auto accident in Corpus Christi
Police arrived at the scene of accident which occurred at the northbound lanes of Highway 286 at around 6:30 p.m. The injured woman was struck by an SUV driven by a 16-year-old driver. According to the Corpus Christi Police Department, authorities believed the woman parked her vehicle towards the left shoulder of the highway before trying to cross the freeway from the right lanes of the road. Sadly, she was pronounced dead at the scene, shortly after the crash.
