The following are just a few of the factors a Corpus Christi car accident lawyer will consider after a car or truck accident in Corpus Christi:

Negligence

Negligence is a legal term used to assign fault. Sometimes, negligence is clear. In other instances, however,  it requires legal investigation to determine where which party is at fault.

Duty of Care

Drivers of the vehicle and motorcyclists have a duty of care as they operate on the road.  When an accident occurs, it is usually because one of the two parties failed to abide by that duty of care.

Shared Negligence

Sometimes, both the driver of the vehicle and motorcyclist are considered to be negligent. When this happens, the insurance company may attempt to assign a percentage of fault to each party.  To make sure you are not incorrectly assigned partial fault for an auto accident where you did nothing wrong, it is important to speak to an accident lawyer in Corpus Chrsiti at The Patel Firm PLLC today.
